FIVE aims to become the premier showcase for organic wines from Southwestern Europe. This territory stretches from the Iberian Peninsula (Portugal and Spain) to Southwestern France (the Northern Pyrenees, from Languedoc-Rousillon to Aquitaine), including the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands, the Azores and Madeira.
The ecological variety of this vast region favors soil, weather and terrain diversity, which in turn is reflected in the wine produced. Proof of this diversity is the hundred and so labels produced in this area.
Add to this the ancient tradition of wine growing practiced in these regions and the proven knowledge of the organic winemakers and you have all the ingredients to ensure a wide variety of wines that are a faithful reflection of the land that gave birth to them.
There has never been a fair that gathered such a wide array of this rich heritage, until now. That is why the AEN (the association that represents the organic winegrowers of Navarre) has taken the lead and created FIVE, a meeting point where organic viticulture from this part of Europe can find the prominence it deserves.
This is our endeavor and our goal: to introduce the wide range of wines to be exhibited at FIVE to all those who appreciate quality and diversity; to share with those who visit the fair all the diversity and charm of all these lands through their best ambassadors- the wines they produce.
We want the unquestionable star of FIVE to be wine, and that each one presented can defend its virtues in equal conditions to the rest of them, regardless of any considerations unrelated to the product’s intrinsic quality.
We have thus chosen to eliminate any elements that might distract the visitor from this important task, using the model advocated by Millésime Bio (France), the leading fair in the organic viticulture sector.
